Alphys' best friend and most trusted confidant from outside her world. Ford has made plenty of mistakes- things he has to apologize for, things that put his friends in danger, and while it hurts her that someone else had to go through something like she did, it brings her a lot of comfort that Ford is open with her, and that she can be open with him, about both their hosts of problems. It also helps that he's really really hot easy on the eyes and seems to enjoy talking to her and hearing about her theories.
Despite Mettaton's (failed) bid to get them to date, Alphys is incredibly happy that Ford has heard of the worst parts of her, been in danger in her presence, and still chose to stay. She's not sure she can ever explain how much it means to her, but it's the world to her that he'd continue to stand by her side, even, and especially, through her mistakes.
