One of the people Alphys met due to her budding Anime Club, Kaneki has always been gentle with her, but never a liar when it came to the important parts of life. To Alphys, Kaneki is not afraid to tell it how it is- but not in a way that hurts her feelings. They've brushed upon the fact that Kaneki's world is not happy, and enjoys Wonderland more than home, and she worries for him- especially after his Mirror came calling to ask about his well-being.
Unfortunately, Kaneki returned to his world and seemed to lose a span of his Wonderland memories- including meeting her and becoming friends. She has sworn to him that it doesn't bother her, and tried to really feel it... but now that he's gone, they'll never get that second chance.
