| The Royal Scientist of the Underground. Tries very, very hard to give everyone a second chance, except for herself. Loves easily, fully, and often to her detriment. Continues to be wildly afraid of her own potential. Alphys has done her best in her time in Entranceway to make friends with those who share her interests, and be honest about herself and her motivations. After figuring out about SAVEs and RESETS, she considers herself lucky to come from a 'good' timeline and has tried to spread that hope to those who aren't. She is working hard to move on from her past and to feel that she's earned everyone's forgiveness, though she slips and falls back into old habits quickly. Luckily, she has a stable group of friends and supporters to back her up when the going gets tough. Even though she easily fell into keeping many others' secrets, she's been doing a fairly good job at not creating, and perpetuating, her own. Still, she worries about her future, and her ability to keep the friends and relationships she's acquired. With more than a year in Wonderland now under her belt, and her darkest memories dragged out for the Mansion to see, she's experienced an outpouring of love- and perhaps, can finally start to put her past behind her. With this comes new resolutions, new hope, and a strengthened resolve to keep her friends close and be the kind of person she admires- the kind that can support them when they need it. |

Still, over their time together, they've both been through some rather dark and harrowing trials, where she has needed to hold him or Sans up and seen him very grateful. While she can't take the credit for being the sole benefactor, she's happy she can help him even a little, to repay the kindness he's eternally shown her, even in the face of her problems. Even though he's gone, she hopes their relationship when she gets home will be just as strong.

Amethyst had also told her about the rest of the Crystal Gems, leading her to be able to talk to more of them as they arrived- something Alphys is very thankful for, despite not knowing the relationship between them very well. Alphys wishes she could have gotten the chance to know Amethyst better, but holds out hope that she may yet get to see her again.

Despite the both of them making allusions to darker pasts, neither have been completely full with each other about their respective traumas. Still, as much as Alphys' anxiety wants to duck out early, Rose continues to reassure her that they're relationship is worth it- and hopefully, even in Rose's absence, Alphys can find it in herself to agree.

For now, Alphys wishes she had gotten to know her better, and come out of her shell a bit more towards her. Perhaps, if she ever returns, Alphys will be able to get over her shyness and have the relationship she hoped for.

Unfortunately, Kaneki returned to his world and seemed to lose a span of his Wonderland memories- including meeting her and becoming friends. She has sworn to him that it doesn't bother her, and tried to really feel it... but now that he's gone, they'll never get that second chance.

Recently, Alphys has been more worried about Jane and her 'unique' condition- she doesn't understand it, but a lot of the other scientists have been leaning on her for her expertise on magic and science. In the end, Alphys only really hopes she can help Jane, because losing her would be devastating to her experience in Wonderland. Jane has been many things to Alphys in Wonderland, from mentor to helper to a word of comfort, but it's most important to Alphys that she's her friend, and that's how she'll be remembered even now that Jane is gone.
