One of Alphys' oldest friends. Despite both coming from good timelines, Mettaton was months ahead of her on the surface and had already reconciled his differences with her upon his arrival to Wonderland. However, he's been gracious and kind about accommodating Alphys' requests to talk about her garbled feelings about their strained relationship, and pledged to be there for her in the future.
Thankfully, he's kept his word. Mettaton has become Alphys' ultimate wingman- encouraging her when she needs it, comforting her when she's hurt, and going along with her shenanigans, even when they're very, very anime. While he can still be pushy and over-the-top, Alphys can't properly express how much it means for her to have him back in her life in such a meaningful way. While more recent events- and his Mirror getting in between them- are leaving her worried, she's become determined not to leave his side if there's something she can do to help. He doesn't have to be alone if she's there- and that's the sort of person she wants to be going forward.
