| The Royal Scientist of the Underground. Tries very, very hard to give everyone a second chance, except for herself. Loves easily, fully, and often to her detriment. Continues to be wildly afraid of her own potential. Alphys has done her best in her time in Entranceway to make friends with those who share her interests, and be honest about herself and her motivations. After figuring out about SAVEs and RESETS, she considers herself lucky to come from a 'good' timeline and has tried to spread that hope to those who aren't. She is working hard to move on from her past and to feel that she's earned everyone's forgiveness, though she slips and falls back into old habits quickly. Luckily, she has a stable group of friends and supporters to back her up when the going gets tough. Even though she easily fell into keeping many others' secrets, she's been doing a fairly good job at not creating, and perpetuating, her own. Still, she worries about her future, and her ability to keep the friends and relationships she's acquired. With more than a year in Wonderland now under her belt, and her darkest memories dragged out for the Mansion to see, she's experienced an outpouring of love- and perhaps, can finally start to put her past behind her. With this comes new resolutions, new hope, and a strengthened resolve to keep her friends close and be the kind of person she admires- the kind that can support them when they need it. |

SeventhEighth Human to fall, whom Alphys watched through her monitors as they traversed the Underground. Despite the shenanigans she put them through, they came back to help her resolve her issues with Undyne- and with the dark secrets within True Lab. In the end, Frisk is the one who saved everyone... so she thought.Since coming to Wonderland, Frisk has revealed to her the natures of SAVEs and RESETs, and she's worried heavier about them ever since. Despite her continued desire to stop leaning heavily on kids for her emotional support, Frisk remains one of her best friends, and still gives her hope when she sees them happy. She strives to be there for them, give back, but lately they seem to be slipping through her fingers more and more, and she continues to be at a loss as to how to SAVE them, afraid she'll be as useless as always when it comes down to the wire.

Since then, she has mostly avoided them, despite rocky bumps of being forced into the same space through care for their mutual friends. Sans told her they think she will never forgive them- she, in turn, believes they will never forgive her, for not only her actions in Wonderland, but her treatment of Flowey and their memory. Alphys truly does not believe she can ever make it up to them, but is too scared of Chara to approach them separately, and this looks unlikely to change unless an extenuating circumstance forces them to speak. It's better for everyone, she thinks, if they can just forget she exists.

Their relationship has only gotten stronger over the last couple of months, between the both of them finding each other when they fall and strenuously bringing the other back up, sometimes literally. Their relationship in Wonderland has galvanized them into talking more, experiencing more, and being better friends. They've also been better at discussing a certain person from both of their pasts, and trying to let some old wounds heal.

Thankfully, he's kept his word. Mettaton has become Alphys' ultimate wingman- encouraging her when she needs it, comforting her when she's hurt, and going along with her shenanigans, even when they're very, very anime. While he can still be pushy and over-the-top, Alphys can't properly express how much it means for her to have him back in her life in such a meaningful way. While more recent events- and his Mirror getting in between them- are leaving her worried, she's become determined not to leave his side if there's something she can do to help. He doesn't have to be alone if she's there- and that's the sort of person she wants to be going forward.

Still, she enjoys their company, and is one of the few people eager to hear about her work. She hopes she's making their life in Wonderland easier, and she's a little flattered they put so much trust in her, since she hardly believes herself to be as courageous as they describe.

Since then, however, Alphys' secrets have been dragged out, and as Wonderland has thrown them together time and time again, she and Alphys have reached something that Alphys would consider a friendship. Toriel is harsh, but honest, and while she never fails to let Alphys know how she feels about her errors, she is also there to pick her up and offer a kind word. And frankly, that's everything Alphys could ask for in someone who cares about her.

In the meantime, she tries to look after him in Wonderland, and make sure he doesn't feel lonely. So far, all of their experiences together have been rather sweet, barring one (rather bizarre) incident with his mirror. She hopes they can carry on in this relative peace for as long as she can manage to keep it.
