Alphys was shocked when Napstablook sought her out immediately upon arrival, but she quickly discovered it was due to Napstablook's memories- a world where the human was killing everyone, and she helped them survive by hiding them in her lab with many other monsters, and losing Mettaton as he bought them time. She has done her best to reassure them that Wonderland is safer than their Underground, but she is taken off-balance by how much they know that she (herself, at least) never got to explain.
Still, she enjoys their company, and is one of the few people eager to hear about her work. She hopes she's making their life in Wonderland easier, and she's a little flattered they put so much trust in her, since she hardly believes herself to be as courageous as they describe.
