"I want to build somethin' that could make people's lives a little easier in this place [...] Will you forgive me if I don't give away too many details about it yet? I kind of want it to be a surprise until I unveil it to everyone." ₪ • ♥ • ✔ • ❖ [artist]
If only you, you could see The darkest place that you could be Oh maybe then you'd understand From desert heat to cobbled streets From broken home to the city beat There's so much more than you could know
So take me back, when I believed Back when I was unafraid Just like a thief And all the heights That I could reach Back when I was unafraid Just like a thief
If I could live a thousand times If I could make a thousand tries Maybe then I'd get it right The more I see, the more I know That everyone just wants a show No we don't want to see the truth
FIDDLEFORD MCGUCKET
Ford's engineering friend from back home, and whom Alphys had read about in Journal 3 that he leant her. While initially worried Ford would be more interested in spending time with Fiddleford than her, she quickly got the chance to collaborate with him and found him to be a pleasant, and much less manic, person than she expected. She's happy that he's willing to listen to her ideas, and that she finally has someone more on her level in terms of science in Wonderland.
On the other hand... Fiddleford is definitely hiding something, but it doesn't bother her- he doesn't press her for questions, and nor does she him, so they can exist in their comfortable distance. For now, it is no problem, but in the future, she may have wished she did something more when she had the chance...
