Rose is everything Alphys has ever imagined a Magical Girl to be- gracious, kind, powerful, and also (importantly) pretty in pink. She's constantly astounded that Rose wants anything to do with her, seeing as, to Alphys, she seems like everything that's perfect in the world. Rose continues to insist that she wants to talk to and be around Alphys, and Alphys really just doesn't have the strength to turn her away, because Rose is everything she's ever wanted to be. This has, naturally, manifested in a huge crush that Alphys will never admit to, but absolutely can't deny.
Despite the both of them making allusions to darker pasts, neither have been completely full with each other about their respective traumas. Still, as much as Alphys' anxiety wants to duck out early, Rose continues to reassure her that they're relationship is worth it- and hopefully, even in Rose's absence, Alphys can find it in herself to agree.
