[What a good way to describe what happened. Sort of. Most visual novels don't include a character getting thrown through a basketball hoop into a trash can.]

Maybe, uh, I should l-learn an instrument or something. Undyne was always good at the piano, so... maybe if I learn something, if she c-comes back, we could get a band together.

[She's always wanted to be in a cute girl band, like... K-On, or Haruhi Suzumiya at the school festival. Frisk is cute enough to be in there despite not being a girl, too, so it all works out.]

What would you wanna play?

[It's a purely hypothetical question, but it's important in any case, isn't it? If she wants to learn how to play something, they might even be able to help? Or Napstablook could. They're good at that sort of thing, they remember.]

Well, uhm, I always t-thought the drums were really cool... like, uh, when you have a cool band, the drummer's keeping the beat and uh, everyone together a-and stuff.

[It's just... never been something that's really crossed her mind as a thing she could do. Her fingers are too fat for a keyboard or strings, but drums just require banging on things, right? All in the wrist or something like that.]

I'd never, uhm, t-thought about it. I don't know if anyone here knows how to play, though uhm, I guess t-there are probably books or something...

[Despite being in Wonderland, she falls back into old habits of material scarcity easily. It's the same reason she still scavenges in the attic when she can just pull the things she needs. It's a defense mechanism- can't get used to having too much. Can't have it too nice.]

I'm not even sure where I'd start.

Napstablook might be able to teach you. They're the one who taught me to play.

[They're patient and earnest, and Alphys isn't exactly an intimidating monster by default. Though if anyone would be intimidated by a stammering Royal Scientist, it would probably be Napstablook.]

I don't know if t-they know how to play drums, but uhm... maybe it'd be worth it to, uh, ask, if they know somebody, or s-something.

[Napstablook did seem to have more of an affinity for her, being from the timeline they were. Maybe she should make an attempt to be closer to them.]

If, uh, all else fails, maybe there's s-some books in the library or something!

There must be. Do you want me to look for some for you?

[If it's something she's interested in pursuing, there's no reason why she shouldn't, right? They have all the time in the world, here. Might as well learn all those things you never got a chance to!]

[She doesn't want to put more work on Frisk, but it's hard to keep the enthusiasm out of her voice.]
